We demand change
Carceral programs and overpopulated shelters are not the answer. We have all experienced various levels of harassment, discriminatory practices, and policies that have hindered our ability to achieve personal and professional growth in interim housing programs. The city has not offered us any form of permanent housing. We deserve, and demand better
Why We Fight
We are fighting for permanent, humane housing. We believe housing is a human right!
We do not believe that congregate shelter is housing
We stand against carceral housing
We stand against the criminalization of the poor
We are fighting for tenant rights, and equal opportunity housing
We do not cause harm to other unhoused individuals/communities
We believe in creating systems that empower unhoused residents, and center our voices in solutions to housing and houselessness
